Admute Terms of Service

These Admute Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Admute ad-muting technology, including the browser extension, mobile applications, and API services (collectively, "Admute Services") provided by FEND AI, Inc. ("Fend," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Service Overview
1.1 Admute Technology
Admute provides real-time audio muting during advertisements on streaming platforms through browser extensions and API integrations.
1.2 Service Offerings
- Consumer Extension: Browser-based ad-muting for individual users
- Premium Subscription: Enhanced features and unlimited usage
- API Licensing: Technology integration for business partners and platforms
1.3 Relationship to Master Terms
These Terms supplement our Master Terms of Service. For conflicts, these Admute-specific terms prevail for Admute Services.
2. Consumer Extension Services
2.1 Free Tier
- YouTube ad-muting with daily usage limits
- Basic functionality and metrics
- No account registration required
2.2 Premium Subscription ($1.99/month)
- Unlimited muting across all supported platforms
- Advanced analytics and usage statistics
- Multi-device support (up to 3 concurrent devices)
- Priority updates and new platform support
2.3 Supported Platforms
Current supported platforms include YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Spotify, Peacock, Paramount+, Disney+, Prime Video, Twitch, and others as updated on admute.io.
3. How Admute Works
3.1 Technology Description
Admute detects advertisement user interface elements in real-time and temporarily mutes system audio during advertisement playback. No content is modified, blocked, or skipped.
3.2 No Content Modification
Admute only controls audio output. We do not:
- Block, hide, or remove advertisements
- Skip or fast-forward content
- Modify video streams or website code
- Interfere with platform analytics or revenue
3.3 Local Processing
All detection processing occurs locally on your device. No user data or viewing information is transmitted to Fend servers.
4. API Licensing for Business Partners
4.1 API Services
Business partners may license Admute technology through our API for integration into their own platforms and applications.
4.2 Licensing Terms
- Licensing fees based on usage volume and integration scope
- Technical documentation and implementation support included
- Service level agreements defined in separate API licensing agreements
4.3 Partner Requirements
API partners must:
- Maintain platform compliance with streaming service terms
- Implement appropriate user disclosure and consent mechanisms
- Provide proper attribution for Admute technology
5. Platform Compliance and Usage
5.1 Third-Party Platform Terms
Your use of Admute in conjunction with streaming platforms remains subject to those platforms' respective terms of service.
5.2 Compliance Approach
Admute is designed to comply with platform terms by:
- Only muting audio, not blocking content or advertisements
- Maintaining advertisement display and impression counting
- Not interfering with platform functionality or revenue measurement
5.3 User Responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring their use of Admute complies with applicable platform terms and local laws.
6. Privacy and Data Collection
6.1 Minimal Data Collection
Admute collects minimal data necessary for service operation:
- Extension installation and version information
- Anonymous usage statistics (mute count, platform usage)
- Error logs for service improvement
6.2 No Viewing Data
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Video viewing history or preferences
- Personal identifying information from streaming platforms
- Content of advertisements or programs
- Account information from third-party platforms
6.3 Local Processing
All advertisement detection occurs locally on your device. Viewing behavior and content information never leaves your device.
7. Payment and Subscription Terms
7.1 Premium Subscription Billing
- Monthly subscription fee of $1.99 charged to payment method on file
- Automatic renewal unless cancelled before next billing cycle
- No refunds for partial billing periods
7.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors. We do not store credit card information.
7.3 Subscription Management
Users may cancel subscriptions at any time through the extension interface or by contacting support.
8. Service Availability and Updates
8.1 Service Availability
We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Streaming platform updates may temporarily affect functionality.
8.2 Platform Support Updates
We continuously work to maintain compatibility with supported platforms and add new platform support.
8.3 Software Updates
Extension updates are delivered automatically through browser extension stores. Users should maintain current versions for optimal performance.
9. Acceptable Use
9.1 Permitted Use
Admute may be used for personal audio management during advertisement playback on supported platforms.
9.2 Prohibited Use
Users may not:
- Use Admute for commercial advantage without proper API licensing
- Attempt to reverse engineer or create derivative works
- Interfere with or damage Admute service operation
- Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or bypass usage limits
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Admute Technology
All rights in Admute technology, algorithms, and software remain owned by Fend. Users receive a limited license for personal use.
10.2 API Licensing IP
Business partners receive specific intellectual property licenses as detailed in separate API licensing agreements.
11. Warranties and Disclaimers
11.1 Service Warranty
We warrant that Admute will perform substantially as described, subject to platform compatibility and updates.
11.2 Platform Compatibility Disclaimer
WE DO NOT WARRANT CONTINUOUS COMPATIBILITY WITH ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS. Platform updates may affect functionality until Admute updates are released.
11.3 General Disclaimer
ADMUTE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Consumer Services
For consumer services, our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding any claim, not to exceed $50.
12.2 Business API Services
Liability limits for API licensing partners are defined in separate licensing agreements.
12.3 Consequential Damages
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM ADMUTE USE.
13. Termination
13.1 User Termination
Users may discontinue Admute use at any time by uninstalling the extension or cancelling premium subscriptions.
13.2 Service Termination
We may discontinue Admute services with reasonable notice, except for material terms violations which may result in immediate termination.
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, all licenses granted hereunder terminate immediately.
14. API Licensing Agreements
14.1 Separate Agreements
Business partners requiring API access must execute separate API licensing agreements containing detailed technical and commercial terms.
14.2 Enterprise Integration
Large-scale integrations may require custom licensing terms negotiated separately from these Terms.

16. General Provisions

We may update these Terms with notice through the extension interface or email for registered users.
16.3 Severability
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining Terms continue in full effect.
